Guide to Switching Baby Formula

Helping your baby adjust comfortably to new nutrition.

1

Gradual Transition

Switching formula should be done gradually to help your baby adjust. For 5–7 days, mix the old and new formula:

Day 1–2

75% old formula + 25% new formula

Day 3–4

50% old formula + 50% new formula

Day 5–6

25% old formula + 75% new formula

Day 7

100% new formula

Watch for Signs

Monitor your baby for any reactions during the transition:

Changes in stool

Gas or discomfort

Rashes

Excessive crying

Mild changes are normal. However, severe reactions require immediate medical advice.

Consult a Pediatrician

Always consult a healthcare professional before switching formula, especially for babies with allergies or sensitive stomachs. They can provide specific recommendations based on your baby's health history.

At Baby Supplies Kenya, your baby’s health and safety come first.

If you have any concerns about feeding or formula selection, please consult your pediatrician.
